Emma-Jane looking pretty in pink

The marketing manager for HiQ’s largest franchise has teamed up with her sister to inflate the coffers of Cancer Research UK, after the selfless siblings put their best feet forward to raise £500 from a 5K run.

Emma-Jane Kisby, marketing manager for Easy Autocentres, and her sister Claire Murray, completed the Sutton Park Race for Life, to the delight of their friends and family.

Emma-Jane was treading a completely different path for the charity, and was delighted to inflate their coffers in the process.

She said: “It was a wonderful event, made even more special by competing with my sister Claire.

“To raise so much money for Cancer Research UK was great, and we’d both like to thank everyone who sponsored us and got behind us on the day.”

Emma-Jane’s fundraising is especially remarkable, after she donated £2,500 to Breast Cancer Care last year, on behalf of HiQ Erdington.

The sum of money is already being added to in 2010 and she hopes to raise even more for the cause when she officially opens the new HiQ Erdington centre in Bromford Lane in July, where a pound from every tyre sale will go to Breast Cancer Care.

She added: “Both charities are very close to our hearts and it is always nice to be able to contribute in whatever way we can.

“The money makes a huge difference to a great number of people, so we hope to carry out a lot more fundraising in the future.”
