JOBS CREATED WITH NEW VAN CENTRE WORKSHOP

A Wrexham van centre is celebrating the opening of its new workshop following a £150,000 investment.

The new facility at Wrexham’s official Volkswagen Van Centre has resulted in an increase in staff to cope with customer demand.

The building took three months to complete but now houses four new ramps capable of lifting the full range of Volkswagen commercial vehicles.

David Cowan, general manager at the van centre, said: “The facility is a real boost to our business allowing commercial vehicle customers a dedicated centre for servicing, MOT and repairs.

“An increase in business meant the investment was inevitable, with two new van technicians employed to keep up with demand.

“The facility will enable us to deliver customer service above and beyond what drivers expect, something we’re very proud of.

“Further jobs are possible if customer demand continues to increase at the current rate.”
