Spider-Man and Batman better beware as children across Yorkshire design their very own superheroes to rival the biggest names in comic book history.
Youngsters across the county have been invited to design a colourful new character as leading stationery brand uni-ball celebrates the launch of www.unisuperpens.co.uk; a new website that reveals a range of pens with incredible writing powers.
Judges will pick their favourites entries from across Yorkshire selecting one winner and two runners-up who will each receive a selection of superhero goodies and pencil cases brimming with stationery treats.
“We wanted to mark the launch of our new super site by giving children the chance to design their very own superheroes,” said Stuart Barker, marketing manager at uni-ball. “Children will love the heroic world of our website and we look forward to seeing their creations.”
The competition is open to children aged 11 years old and under. Children are encouraged to send in their drawing along with a short description of their powers to: uni-ball press office, Connect PR, The Chubb Buildings, Fryer Street, Wolverhampton WV1 1HT. Closing date for entries is Friday 22nd January 2010.
